Why websites break.

Expired cards, abandoned plugins, and other boring reasons a site goes down.

Websites break for boring reasons: an expired domain, an unpaid hosting bill, an abandoned plugin, or an update that collided with something else. Almost none of it is mysterious.

The damage is what hurts. A site that is down for two weeks quietly stops appearing in results, and customers assume you closed.

On a care plan we watch for the boring reasons before they become outages, and if something does break, you text one number and it gets fixed. That is the whole pitch.

The four boring causes

The card on the domain expired. The hosting lapsed. A plugin updated itself into a conflict. Somebody edited a file they should not have.

Every one is preventable, and every one is invisible until it is expensive. We have revived Detroit sites that were down for months because a renewal email went to a dead inbox.

Why downtime compounds

A down site does not just lose the visitors during the outage. Search engines de-rank it, the map listing shows it as unreliable, and customers who saw 'site can't be reached' tell other people.

The cost of a two-week outage usually exceeds a year of care.

The boring fix

Cards that do not expire, monitoring that texts us first, backups that are tested, and one number to call when something looks wrong.

That is the care plan in one sentence. Nothing exotic, just an owner for the boring parts.

Quick answers.

How do I know if my site is down?

Type your address on your phone. Do it monthly. Or let us watch it.

Can you recover an old site?

Often yes, if backups exist. The sooner you text, the better the odds.

What does monitoring catch?

Downtime, expired certificates, broken forms, and the renewal dates nobody tracks.

Is care worth it for a small site?

One saved outage pays for the year.
